Main features:
The quality of sowing is affected by its uniformity, which depends on various factors, such as the quality of seeds, sowing speed, or seeder settings. To control these factors, it is necessary to monitor the uniformity of sowing to be able to detect deviations from optimal settings on time.
The required equipment is quite affordable while the potential benefits are impressive. You can increase the speed of the sowing machine by 1-3 km/hour without affecting seeding quality or timely detection of clogging.
The operation principle of sowing control equipment
An optical sensor is attached to the sowing channel and detects the passage of seeds. The speed is determined either by the speed sensor or the GPS signal. The onboard terminal contains information on the drill configuration, the number of rows, the width between the rows, and the total width of the drill.
Thus, the rate per hectare (acre) for each colter is automatically calculated and compared with the default ones. If the rate is kept, green colters are visually displayed. When the deviation from the required rate is detected, the columns are changing their size and color according to the rate increase or decrease notifying about the overseeding and sifts.
